INTO THE LAND: 2ND SERIES
3 SECONDS IN ENGLAND
I journey to countries, cities, and lands that have ‘LAND’ in their names, capturing the everyday moments of life exclusively on film camera. I may stay for a week or sometimes longer, but the actual time captured in the photographs amounts to only a few fleeting seconds. While I cannot grasp all the time that has passed in these places, I hope that through the brief moments I’ve captured, you can catch a glimpse of the lives and people of these lands.
‘LAND’가 들어간 나라, 도시, 땅들을 찾아 여행하며, 오직 필름으로만 일상 속 순간들을 포착합니다. 때로는 일주일, 혹은 그보다 더 오래 머무르지만 제가 사진으로 담을 수 있는 시간은 고작 몇 초에 불과합니다. 이 땅에서 흘러간 모든 시간을 온전히 이해할 수는 없지만, 제가 담은 이 짧은 순간들을 통해 그 땅에서 살아가는 사람과 삶의 단면을 엿볼 수 있기를 바랍니다.22 rolls of film. 814 cherished moments in this land. The camera, with its shutter speed of 1/250 seconds, captured not just images, but snapshots of lives. In the end, all these moments were distilled into only 3 seconds in England. And from those precious 3 seconds, I offer you a few glimpses.
